That's what I've been saying all along about Al Qaeda. When I read newsblogs from other countries, I don't see anything about these guys, only in the US and the British.

Furthermore, what incentive does some other country have to turn a back to Al Qaeda. Not much. Unless Obama can offer substantial incentives, the US role in Afganistan is a wash or worse, our role will incite more followers. Bully politics do not work with terrorism.

In looking at the Anti-Defamation League website, there are three terrorist groups in Iowa. That was three years ago. These people feel justified. Otherwise, these groups wouldn't be there.

If what you say is correct, that the KKK is connected to Al Qaeda in some loose knit way, yeah, I would agree. But, even acadamia doesn't believe me if I mention such things. They laugh.

Last, there are groups, who are definately committed to world peace. But, their methods do resemble Al Qaeda; sorta to win, fight as the enemy, be the enemy if you must, then....

It's in the rhetoric. That is where the battle is fought, and that is where it will eventially be won. New visions must bury the old. period. And, that is why Obama's purpose is so apparent. He has his ear to the ground, so to speak.

I believe in peace. But, I am not a warrior. I believe in language as the ultimate mirror. That is why our leaders must talk with all sides. It's stupid in this age to refuse. It's asking for trouble, because in America, we have people here from every single corner of the Earth. They are all our brothers in this way. Herein lies the revolution you mention.

Thank you for at least listening to me. I am one, but there are many, many, many more believing in international peace.

Moonlight, correct, Al Qaeda is just about everywhere. Their tactics recruit the angry and disenfranchised where ever they go. They offer recruits the option for revenge, give them an organized support group and reinforce their anger. Their domestic recruits are valuable because they can blend in to their own country.
I found it interesting that Al Qaeda's #2 guy played the race card in his video ... that tells me they are reaching out to supremacist hate groups, America has plenty.
As for our security, what a joke. Most of America's 'Visible' security is a dog & pony show. give the media visual reinforcement - lotsa uniforms and gas guzzler, mean looking vehicles.
Security money has flowed to Blackwater. They are the ultimate MERCENARIES. Their loyalty follows the money. For all we know, there may be a division of Blackwater that is contracted to Al Qaeda ... So much for Homeland Security.

Say what you will, but I believe Al Qaeda has deep ties here in America. I still ask, "How did any airliner get so close to the Pentegon, as to penetrate the building? Hmm?" Top security out for coffee? Any airliner coming within a certain radius is suppose to be shot out of the skies. Yes, any.

Anyone believing Al Qaeda is not acting with our people is covering their sensibilities. Get the bigger picture, folks!

Caz: Obviously, you don't have a conflicted interest with your job and Vanguard. You are NOT an elected official who can sway US Government contract bids for Taxpayer dollars to be siphoned off to your buddies or increase your personal wealth. There is nothing against personal wealth and investment, unless you use MY money, as a taxpayer, for your profit.
The Vice President of the United States and the Attorney General of the United States have NO business interfering with Congressional or Justice Department investigations of their buddies behavior. By the way, prisoner abuse is no longer fashionable.
I personally am leaning toward investing in Vanguard. No problem. I am not a Federally elected official, and I will use my OWN money!

Ha...so funny...what a joke. Cheney invests in a mutual fund that happens to own stock in a corrections management company and he's arraigned for something that company allegedly did? Hello... I guess several million other Americans will be getting subpoenaed soon. I mean I have several hundred thousand dollars in Vanguard Funds and I haven't been arraigned. I'm certain that I have an investment in that company too. What's wrong with me? Aren't I important enough?

The 'liberals' - those who fear government overreach are often called 'progressives' - fear those who have the guns, troops, money and taxes simply because - time and again - they inflict wanton destruction upon innocents.
I can think of few better examples than current Israeli policy of firing on Palestinian fishermen from Gaza who are trying to feed their families despite the illegal Israeli blockade.
That is usually reported as being against Jewry - despite the fact that the best reporting comes from outraged Israeli citizens.
Blackwater takes families of those killed in their employ to court to suppress reports of their activities and public enquiry.
Tell you what. Find reports where the previously unthinkable use of private armies in the United States have generated impartial approval from scrutineers and I will consider your assertions. Until then, all I see is approval of people because they are unaccountable.
Try to sell that idea - free rein - to any corporate manager trying to run an operation.

We live in a world where politically correct governments are afraid to do anything that may hurt international feelings. I would love to see Blackwater hired for maritime protection and then destroy the Pirates in Africa. If you are a liberal then just keep hoping that hugs and counseling will make the pirates reform themselves into productive citizens. When will people realize that force of arms brought against terrorists and pirates will be the only way to bring peace and justice to this world. If you disagree then the alternative would be to surrender and hope everything will just get better....wake up people!

Mary, if your stimulus was sent back, there had to be a problem with your direct deposit numbers or your address. Just call IRS and verify your correct mailing address, they may change it over the phone. If not, they will ask you to fill out and mail form 8822, with your signature on it. It is very important you verify your identity if you want your information changed.
Call 1-800-829-0922 - please be patient if you must wait, you will be glad you did.
